We have recently have had people move into the house next door.
Now, they have had there driveway done. Now they park there car right under my window. And they constantly run in and out. And also they have this kind of pick up truck, that is VERY loud I mean it sounds like one of them big rigs. It get's me up EVERY day 8:00am in the moring.

Right after they have had there driveway done. I haven't gotten any sleep. I Mean when they close there doors they are VERY loud. I mean there is NO NEED to close your doors like that. You can even feel it inside. I am not sure if it's due to the homes are so close. But I mean common sense would say someones' bedroom is there. I mean I know it's there house but have some consecration. And music is loud in there car. Starts at 8am people are sleep.

I think the fact that nothing can't really be done about it is just silly. Then they want to cry on the news when people kill neighbors. There is only so much people can take. Just cause you are in a home. I think there should be some kind of noise tolerance level. We have been here for ten years now this jerk comes here.

When this is a peaceful neighborhood, ever since they have moved next door, I can't get a night of sleep, constantly having headaches. There is NO need to do all that banging and to hear it and feel it inside.

And then not to mention, we have people who have parties every single Saturday. Where the music is blasting and then when you call the cops just to tell them to turn it down (Not off). When the cops leave they get mad and turn it loader. There is no need to have it to where people a block away can hear it loud and clear. We don't do it. How can people be so inconsiderate?

So my question is.

What can I do about this? Who can I contact (Email)?

Mount Rainier - Greetings All, ...

Greetings All, I had the occasion to visit Mount Rainier to shop at Glut, the local food coop, after an appointment at the Washington Hospital Center. I thought I had enough time in the parking meter but when I walked out, the parking policeman, on his segway, had just written a $30.00 parking ticket. I immediately went to the City Hall to pay it - and was told "no checks if you do not live in the town, and no credit cards, cash only...." Well, I did have $30.00. Such parking ticket fines would not encourage visitors to this town. I will think twice about ever coming back here to shop and I would do a lot of research before investing there or moving there. In my business travels dealing with historic real estate in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, I have witnessed too many little town governments that appear to be essentially "municipal rackets" with lots of town employees and questionable payback in terms of town services for the taxes paid.

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **
