I moved to Essex years ago to live in the enviromental diversity and near or about what is the greenbelt last two years have been depressing as one mc mansion corodes the landscape, floodlights are on,not only their yards but every one else, sad but true. A selling point to for me was the privacy factor because no one could build so close to the greenbelt. well guess what they did instead of looking up at the stars I see the floodlights, instead of deer in the backyard i get feedback that my friendly dog barks they just do not get it,my entire view on one side looking to the creek is now an eyesore would like to thank the town for enforcing the bylaws re wetlands and the setbacks that got overlooked bill allensale

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **

Gloucester is falling apart !!The schools are a joke. The people are rude. Very,Very high drug rates in this city.I have lived here my whole life 37 years.I have 3 kids. My husband wanted to move 10 years ago and i said no. I wish I said yes. If you have kids that dont need " special services" in school dont send them here. Gloucester does not care about its people anymore and most of the smart ones have left. Gloucester wants to stay a fishing town - wake up people - the fish are not coming back. Don't get sick here either - Gloucester gets the worst of the worst doctors there is.

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **

To the Newton History Museum staff
I am just beginning some basic research of my family's geneaology and their roots in the Newton area.
As part of that investigation I have examined a photograph of my great-grandfather's general store which was located next to "Hagarty Bros. Provisions" in Newton. In the window of that store is a poster announcing a Foot Ball game between Newton and (possibly Chicago) for October 30th. Using a perpetual calendar, I place the date at 1897 or 1909; the latter date being the most likely.
My reason for writing is to mention that I would
be interested in knowing if someone at the Newton Museum would care to review details (and perhaps provide some information)of my own family history as they become available. In exchange I will be pleased to make reprints available of photos, cards, and other documents that may be of interest to the museum.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Beck
12715 West Castle Rock
Sun City West, AZ 85375

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **
