I was born and raised in princeton. I hadn't lived there since graduation but I do drive through ever once in a while. Princeton is a beautiful place to me. I love the surrounding country side the beautiful farms and the people. I love walking down the lane by Butler school remembering when i was a kid playing basketball on the school grounds. When I first fell in love in the seventh grade and my first crushing experience when I learned it was one sided. Oh the time were beautifuly simple yet complicated. I worte poetry alot there and practiced music instruments and fell in love a thousand times. yes Princeton to me is a beautifuly romantic place. I have use illistrations about princeton in a sublime way in songs I have written that have been played all over the world. I came back from Europe after a series of concert dates and drove from my home where I lived then and came to Princeton just to see if there was any one I knew. I drove out by claxton, the vfw ball park,Freedonia rd and Dawson rd all the wat to the use to be big blue bridge almost a single lane. the area had changed a lot but is still yet the same. I left and came home and whished I lived there one more time. Maby some day I will. If you listen close to country music folk music and gospel music and some jazz you will here some stories that familierly sound like home "Princeton" The life and love capturied on tape to share the memories of prom nite 197? the girl I love so that married while I was away who kissed me in the piggly wiggly when she saw for the first time in 20 years. My first car from martins used cars for 400 dollors and time in bottle how I long to drink you in. Thank you for letting me lean and cry on you for a while I do love Princeton it's a great place to be and Be from.
Oh by the way the muscians there are great those who live there and the ones who dont anymore. I do whis there were more craft and music festivals to really show the personality of the town.
Tell Danny Beavers I said Hi And Eddie Pennington hey " Eddie just might know who I am.

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **

My name is Ann Woolridge. My family and I were in Allensville, Kentucky on Saturday, August 4, 2007, attending the 138 th year of the Emancipation Proclamation Celebration. What an awesome and spiritial celebration it was! The people, "my people" were so wonderful! Celebrating our freedom from slavery and also the accomplishments of our children. It was a time for remembering and sharing old times, "good times" with each other and our children. The worship service at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church brought closure to the weekend. It was an affirmation of what prayers and faith can do. Knowing that the stories told and celebrated for generations to come warms the heart. I just wanted to "shout out" to the Snardon and Bell family, and all of those who fall in the category of kindred, a hearty thanks. Keep hope alive.

** Comment as posted elsewhere on citytowninfo.com **
