City Town Info Forum  /  Holland area  /  Holland-not for me

The City of Holland is friendly if you look like the locals.  If you are a person of color, speak with a non-European accent, or don't appear Dutch you may very likely encounter rude behavior from local merchants.   I, and many of my friends like me, have all experience some bad experiences in downtown Holland.

There are many other communities which are kinder and welcome ALL vistors; Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Luddington and Grand Rapids.
I will  never visit this mean city again.
