This city has the worst rent prices vs cost of living. The avg rent for a house (non-apartment) is 1300.00 per month. If you have pets forget about renting unless you want to pay an additional fee per month for each pet and deposits ranging from 500.00 and up to move in. The avg wage is $8.00 per hour if you're lucky. You need to have an income of atleast $20.00per hour or higher to rent and survive. This town believes it's comparable to Metro areas like San Fransico or Beverly Hills. I have lived here all my life and watched it get worse.
