Dec 1 2007 I was trying to exit town, the christmas parade was about to start. All three RR crossings were blocked by police who directed me to turn around and drive to cabot to get on the interstate. Mind you all three crosings were blocked, allowing no traffic to cross into the town side of ward. This may sound petty, but in these days of high gas prices, I think at least 1 crossing could have been open and traffic re routed allowing non parade goers free access to the oppisite side of town! This is going to sound very petty, but the officer, and I use that term loosly,at the middle crossing should take a little more time getting prepared for special duty that places him in view of so many people, he reminded me of a younger "boss hog" from dukes of hazzard, his trooper hat was on the back of his head, the uniform top was almost tucked into his pants, he kept his thumb hooked in his gun belt near his gun, and he had a half smoked cigar hanging from his mouth.
This is from a concerned son whose parents live in ward, and have for some time.
