The Village of Oak Lawn has  made a mistake in banning the recognition of Christmas at all schools.  Instead of allowing others of varied religions to celebrate their holiday when appropriate and with agreed upon limitations, you have paved the way for all religious belief to be private and secret.  That is the wave of the new world. Why should any person's complaint remove our Christian tradition?  It is happening all over our country in similar circumstances.  Christians live under great duress in Muslim countries....because Christianity is banned there!  Will each school now ban students from writing about their faith in class when
appropriate ?  Or will only Christians not be allowed to express their faith as it may pertain to an homework assignment?  I assume that NO holiday celebrations of any sort will be allowed.  It would not be fair if they were.
