My family vacations at Sylvan Beach each year. We love it, our children and grandchildren love it. It's easy to get to.
There is lots to do at little or no cost. Most things are with in walking distance. The merchants are friendly and kind, including the young people that work at the amusement park. It's clean. The events are tasteful and fun. It's a great all around family spot. We were a little disappointed this year as to how close the boats are allowed to the beach. Although the boaters should be allowed access to the beach, there should be a boundary for them to anchor. Families that are paying for cottages are limited to beach space due to boats utilizing the space ,not to mention the danger of the children getting too close to the boats.
