I wondered where you received your information about taxes on long Island. Long Island has the 2nd lowest property taxes in Cumberland County, based on an equalized tax rate. We have not done a revaluation in over 15 years. Our mill rate may appear high but our valuations are very low, resulting in a reasonably low property tax bill compared to the surrounding communities. You are right, however, we do invest in our school and education.
