Orinda is about to vote on a new bond measure that would require taxpayers to pay an new tax for road repair.  The tax is based on home value which varies widely due to recent housing boom.  If you're looking to move to orinda, expect to get hit with an extra $500 yr tax for the next 30 years of the life of the bond.  (based on a home value of $1 million).  Avg home price is currently about $850,000.
