I've lived in Alaska for just over 40 years, Anchorage for just over 20 of those years.  Basically, Anchorage is just a microcosm of Los Angeles, CA.  Same problems only a much better view... moose running through town, etc.  Yes we have road rage, idiot drivers and all that sort of thing.  Really not much to say... it is just a large city with horrible roads, high property taxes (but no sales tax! ...yet) and a growing population of people from foreign lands.  I think I've lived here too long!
